Restaurant Support Services Team
The A&W Restaurant Support Services Team provides the tools to help make your operations a success. This team offers best practices to maintain both A&W Standards and Food Safety Standards measured by Steritech® third-party audits. Other resources offered include Food Cost & Pricing Aids, Root Beer Excellence Aids, training guides for every station of the restaurant and product ordering guides.

Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions
A&W partners with Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions (RSCS), a world-class purchasing and supplier-relationship management cooperative supporting more than 22,000 products across multiple brands. RSCS negotiates the best pricing for products and third-party services, including equipment, food stuffs, smallwares and certain building elements. From the food your guests eat to the chairs they sit on, RSCS delivers volume savings on all of the items coming through your restaurant’s doors.


A&W believes that the success of your new restaurants begins with great training. We require that at least two managers attend Management Training and become certified as A&W Managers. The required 5 to 10 day Management Training is provided at our facilities in Lexington, KY. This program covers basic management skills, A&W standards, as well as hands-on operational training.

A&W provides Field Trainer support to assist your managers in training Team Members prior to opening the restaurant. Our Training Program involves station training as well as opening, prep and closing procedures. Field Trainers and your Franchise Growth Leader will be on-site for opening day, and will provide continuing support to ensure smooth operations.

Training Videos, Station Manuals and Job Aids are available on A&W’s internal website. Training Boot Camps are also offered as refresher training for existing teams. A&W is committed to a training program that gives you the tools you need for excellent operational execution.

Ongoing Support

You will have a Franchise Growth Leader (FGL) assigned to your restaurant to provide ongoing support of your operations. Your FGL is a seasoned operator with experience in guiding Franchise Partners towards building profitable sales. They will schedule regular visits to your restaurant as well as conduct informational Regional Meetings, facilitate Training Boot Camps and suggest Local Store Marketing tactics. Your FGL will also act as a liaison to the Restaurant Support Center for any information or services you need.
